The Prince of Peace and Reconciliation

There is great rejoicing in heaven when those who are still at war with God, who are still allied with the forces of sin and hell, come to accept peace-not the peace of the world, but the peace of the soul that Christ himself offers, the peace that is demonstrated outwardly because of the transformation of the inner life.

I appeal to those who do not know this peace because they have never learned the marvelous joy of life that comes from sin-free soul. I appeal to those who do not know peace because they do nto show it. I appeal to those who kneel at the manger of Prince of Peace, but harbor thoughts of hatrid and envy against your fellowman. I appeal to youth and children who life in strife and discord with their mothers, fathers, and other family members. I appeal to husbands and wives who are permitting the rancor of selfishness and dissatisfaction to mar the beauty of a happy Christian home. I appeal to those who promote misunderstanding and bigotry in the lives of people. I appeal to you and beseech you in the name of the Lord Jesus; DO NOT let this day end without coming to the Prince of Peace in spirit and in truth, without asking Him for the forgiveness of these evils and without receiving from Him His priceless peace of soul and mind.

Jesus brought peace to men and women who thought it was beyond their reach. He gave peace to those who lives had been enslaved by evil. He restores peace to those who guilt torments their consciences. The Prince of Peace leads enemies to become friends.

In Isaiah 11 we read more about this One whose name is Prince of Peace. “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse… The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him-the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord-and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he ears with h is ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth… the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord… and his place of rest will be glorious” (Isaiah 11:1-10)

Only then, in the fullest sense, will Jesus be the Prince of Peace. Is He your Prince of Peace? Take time to praise Him now because He is the Prince of Peace!
